BIRTHS, MARRIAGES, DEATHS AND ROLL OF HONOUR
If we could have raised his dying head
Or heard his last farewell,
The grief would not have been so hard
For those who loved him well.
Fold him, O Father, in Thine arms,
And let him henceforth be
A messenger of love between
Our aching hearts and Thee.
Deeply mourned by Father, Mother and Family
Chorley Guardian and Leyland Hundred Advertiser 28 April 1917
We mourn for you dear son and brother,
No eyes can see us weep,
For many a silent tear we’ve shed
While others are asleep.
Sadly missed by Father, Mother and Family – 77 Snowden-
