Heath Charnock Parish Council

The Council intends to appoint a Parish Councillor who:

– Is interested in local current affairs and the environment

– Is willing to serve the local community

– Could help to provide a voice to represent the Parish

The Parish Council normally has 10 monthly meetings a year (except July and
December) for up to 2 hours. Parish Councillors share the responsibility of
representation at local meetings or events and on other organisations.

This casual vacancy is open to those who live in the Parish of Heath Charnock
or within 3 miles of the Parish Boundary or to those who work or own land in
the Parish. A Councillor’s term of office is normally four years. The co-option
will run until the next ordinary election due in May 2025.
